Is the Zeekr X FBT exempt?
Yes. The Zeekr X is a battery electric vehicle, so under the $91,661 fuel-efficient threshold it is exempt from Fringe Benefits Tax for the 2026-27 financial year. That is what makes an EV novated lease so strong: the whole lease, including running costs, can come out of your pre-tax salary. Note that plug-in hybrids stopped qualifying for the exemption for new arrangements from 1 April 2025.
